How does the saying go?  You should never talk politics or religion at a cocktail party.  The same probably holds true here.  Don’t worry, we are a fashion/photography blog, so there will be no discussion of religion.  But I just had to show you these rosaries because aren’t they pretty?  Whether it’s rosaries or mala beads or Buddhas, when an object is so infused with meaning, it becomes even more beautiful.  Most of the rosaries pictured here are part of Courtney’s collection that she gathered from trips to the Vatican.  The top two rosaries pictured are from my collection.  The first was given to me by Santiago’s mother Liliana.  Santiago’s grandparents loved to travel and they purchased that rosary on a trip to Jerusalem.  The second rosary comes from Colombia.

Next week, I’m bringing out something I made a couple of years ago.  It’s one of my favorite makes.  See you soon!

Hello

I'm on a journey to become a fashion designer but I've got some stuff to learn along the way.

Featherstitch Avenue is my creative journal where any artistic experiment is fair game.
